Actor Nick Stahl, who has had his share of troubles in recent years as he wrestled with a drug problem, has been admitted to an L.A. hospital on a psychiatric hold.
TMZ reports that a friend of Stahl’s dropped the “Terminator 3” and “Carnivale” star off at a hospital early Tuesday (June 18), and he was placed on a 5150 hold there. The process (“5150” is the section of California law that allows it) means he’ll be held and evaluated for at least 72 hours.
There’s no explanation as yet for why the friend thought Stahl needed treatment.
This new setback for Stahl comes about a year after he checked out of a rehab facility against doctors’ advice, after having gone missing for a few days in May 2012. He disappeared again shortly after leaving rehab, but he told TMZ in May that he was getting his life back on track.
