“It’s right here in the script,” he says to his wife, Emma Heming, “It says, ‘Now Bruce kisses Mary-Louis Parker. Now Bruce kisses Catherine Zeta-Jones.’ They were trying to get me to kiss John Malkovich in this film because he is in a dress, but I said no because I wasn’t feeling it.”
But that doesn’t mean he’s not in touch with his softer side.
“I do change diapers and it’s very humbling,” says Willis, who became a four-time father a year ago when baby Mabel Ray was born. “I’m happy to be doing it. My life is one dude and about 30 women in the house. Let’s just say that I don’t win many arguments. The good news is we don’t have many arguments.”
“[My character] in ‘Red 2′ is so befuddled. He ignores the freshness and concentrates on keeping the woman he loves safe. I can relate because I’m married and have daughters. Safety is number one with me. It’s my middle name.”
And while Willis wasn’t feeling a lip lock with Malkovich, he does say that the guy had him in stitches on set.
“He makes me laugh all the time. And that’s a very good thing. Sometimes on this movie, we would have to go again and do another take because we were laughing so hard. The guy kept giving me romantic advice. He cracked me up,” says Willis.
