Will Ferrell is a comedic legend. There’s no denying it — hey, MTV even went so far as to award him a Comedic Genius award at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. You won’t find anyone arguing that he didn’t deserve it.
Ever since he got his start on “Saturday Night Live” in the mid-90s, constantly sending viewers into hysterical laughter, this actor/comedian has delivered hit after hit. Whether he’s starring in a movie, making a small cameo on a TV show, or even just stopping by “SNL” for a quick sketch from time to time, Ferrell steals the show.
Tuesday (July 16) is Ferrell’s 45th birthday, and we can’t even imagine the kind of shenanigans this comedy king is getting himself into. If his roles in the past are any indication, Ferrell knows how to party.
In honor of the funnyman’s milestone birthday, we’ve rounded up our 5 favorite party scenes in his movies. These scenes span the range from epic to awesome to just downright frightening … but every single one of them is absolutely hilarious.
From “Old School” to “Elf,” “The Other Guys” to “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,” check out some of Ferrell’s hard-partying roles and let’s hope he’s having a better celebration than some of the characters he’s played in the past (Warning: some clips contain NSFW nudity and/or language… but come on, you knew that already. It’s Will Ferrell!):
“Old School” streaking
Bring your green hat!
“The Other Guys” bar scene
This isn’t just any old drinking. This is serious drinking, with Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg).
“Blades of Glory” drunk wizard
Those poor children.
“Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” party
He’s been going to the same party for 12 years now, but it just doesn’t get any better than this.
“Elf” mailroom dancing
Only Buddy can make the mailroom fun.
Happy birthday, Will!
