Hop onto Twitter and start following @TheDukeofYork, because that account is making history. As of July 8, Prince Andrew became the first member of the Royal Family to join Twitter.
“Welcome to my Twitter account – AY,” his first tweet reads.
So far that is the only tweet Prince Andrew posted on his own. The rest were posted by his staff. All tweets posted by the Royal Family member will be signed “AY.”
At press time, the Duke of York had gained close to 13,000 Twitter followers. Of the four tweets posted, three included pictures of him meeting with students. One, where he is at Black County UTC, can be seen above.
Now, when is Prince William and Kate Middleton’s baby-to-be going to get his or her official Twitter account?
