Try not to roll your eyes too hard at this news: Chris Brown‘s seizure that he suffered on Friday (August 9) may have been caused by the “nonstop negativity” the press has given him in recent years … as if that’s not his fault.
The rapper suffered a seizure when working at Los Angeles recording studio, the Record Plant, the singer’s rep has confirmed. He was not hospitalized.
“Chris suffered a nonepileptic seizure (NES),” according to a statement issued Friday night. “His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity.”
The “continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity” might be referring to Brown’s highly publicized beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna, his nightclub brawl with Drake, and his parking lot attack of Frank Ocean … but that’s just our completely hypothetical guess.
In an ironic twist, in the hours after his seizure the hashtag “#PrayForChrisBrown” became a trending topic on Twitter. Now that doesn’t seem so negative to us.
