She may be leaving “Parks and Recreation” this season, but Rashida Jones isn’t done with TV by a long shot. The actress is developing a new comedy with “Parks and Rec” writer Alexandra Rushfield, Deadline reports.
The single-camera comedy, named “Stuck,” has earned a put-pilot commitment at Fox. Though Jones has no plans to star in the half-hour comedy, she will executive produce with her writing partner Will McCormack.
“Stuck” tells the story of a “stuck in a rut” middle-aged woman who works at a bank and gets her “stuck in childhood” daughter a job there. Within a day, the daughter becomes the mother’s boss. The comedy will follow the duo at home and work as they help one another get “unstuck.”
It was recently announced — much to the dismay of fans everywhere — that Jones will exit the NBC comedy “Parks and Rec” after its first 13 episodes of Season 6 along with fellow co-star Rob Lowe.
