Does the above image look appetizing? Well, like it or not, it’s coming soon to a Taco Bell near you.
Apparently Taco Bell’s waffle taco breakfast item was such a hit in its limited Southern California run that the fast food company is expanding its availability to other regions. The Associated Press reports that 100 Taco Bell locations in Fresno, Calif.; Omaha, Neb.; and Chattanooga, Tenn. will now be serving the breakfast alternative to a taco starting on Aug. 8.
This comes not long after Taco Bell announced it’s dropping its kids’ meals. CEO Greg Creed said at the time, “Pioneering this change on our menu is a bold move for our industry, and it makes sense for Taco Bell.” Breakfast is already offered at about 850 locations in the United States.
Don’t think that the waffle taco (a waffle with a sausage patty and eggs rolled up like a taco) will be the only new breakfast option at the fast food restaurant. Taco Bell is also experimenting with new offerings like the AM Crunchwrap, granola and a fruit-topped yogurt parfait.
