Zap2it: How is your new show different from what was tried last season?
Bethenny Frankel: I hope it is not all that different. I know what worked and what didn’t.
Zap2it: What are some topics you will tackle?
Bethenny Frankel: Women really want to be in business, and that is something I can do. They have no idea how to get through the door. And what women are going through — not enough sleep, being a mother and wanting to look good. The show is what women talk about when men aren’t around.
Zap2it: Such as?
Bethenny Frankel: My husband overeats and snores, and I am not attracted to him.
Zap2it: Do you think this is not discussed on TV now?
Bethenny Frankel: Probably because most people on daytime aren’t married or willing to talk.
Zap2it: You became known from “The Real Housewives of New York,” though you were not a housewife. Why have reality shows worked for you?
Bethenny Frankel: I was the questionable character, as Andy Cohen says, I was the Greek chorus. He said I would say what the viewer was thinking. Most women overthink things. I will say something I am thinking.
Zap2it: Who would you love to come on your show?
Bethenny Frankel: Amanda Bynes, Mark Zuckerberg, Seth MacFarlane, Pink, Howie Mandel, Denis Leary. I used to cook for Denis Leary. I want to have people I have connection with.
Zap2it: Do you have an overriding philosophy?
Bethenny Frankel: Use what you have — in your closet, in your fridge, in your bathroom.
