The women of “Mad Men” had quite a presence on the red carpet at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards. But who stunned and who disappointed?
January Jones went monochromatic in a muted pink dress made be … “Me!” she proclaimed to E!’s Ryan Seacrest. Wow, who knew TV’s Betty Draper was so multi-talented? Of course, she fessed up that the gown was created especially for the night by Givenchy.
“They made this for me so I had to pick it,” Jones says. As for her plans with fellow cast members after the show, January tells Seacrest, “We know how to celebrate pretty well even if we don’t win.”
Elisabeth Moss went the color blocking route in a sequined black and white gown by Andrew Zn. And that short, bleached blonde bob? Moss says she went there before Miley Cyrus did. Rawr.
Jessica Paré went for a pop of color with an Oscar de la Renta turquoise ball gown. The color is fabulous on her, but is that taffeta? We’re getting a bit of a senior prom vibe from this frock.
Christina Hendricks showcased her trademark curves in a black velvet gown with lace details by “Project Runway’s” Christian Siriano. Hendricks tells E! she chose the dress because it reminded her of a Sartre painting. She looks pretty surreal to us.
Kiernan Shipka looked darling and age appropriate in a Delpozo party dress. She certainly showed that Sally Draper is growing up fast, but some Zap2it staffers couldn’t help but think the tween us already promoting her upcoming role in Lifetime’s “Flowers In the Attic.”
Linda Cardellini stunned in a rose-inspired Donna Karan. This is way better than the dress Don Draper made his paramour wear during a certain Season 6 hotel stay.
