Mitt Romney welcomed a new member to his ever-growing family. The former Republican presidential candidate announced that his 22nd grandchild, a dark-skinned baby named Kieran James Romney, was officially adopted on Sept. 20.
“Our 22nd grandchild was officially adopted today: Kieran James Romney. cc: @AnnDRomney,” he tweets along with the above picture of the newborn.
This announcement caused some confusion for people, because Romney said his son Josh Romney‘s recent child was also his 22nd. Regardless, he seems happy to have welcomed another addition to the Romney brood.
Though Romney didn’t announce which of his children adopted baby Kieran, he did tweet a picture of Andelynne Romney, the wife of his son Ben Romney, holding the child.
