Sinead O’Connor recently added two tattoos to the one part of her body that isn’t already tatted: her face. The singer debuted two cheek tattoos of the letters “B” and “G” while she was performing at the Bestival Festival on the Isle of Wight, and took to her website to clarify what they stand for.
In a blog post titled “Tour Diary Entry 76 Re Face Tattoo,” O’Connor writes, “Brendan Quinlan.. ‘It’s what it is’ … Un ange passe ; ) There’s a bottle of Agent Provocateur in someone’s room that belongs to me.”
The French phrase “un ange passe” translates to “an awkward silence,” which implies that there must be an interesting story behind “Brendan Quinlan’s” connection to O’Connor. According to the Irish Sun, O’Connor got the tattoos “as a dig at a man she says wrecked her life.”
