“Top Chef Masters” Season 5 came down to Bryan Voltaggio, Douglas Keane and Jennifer Jasinski — who took home the prize and title of Top Chef Master?
In the end, the judges declared Douglas Keane the winner, which means the Green Dog Rescue will receive $100,000. The judges cited his “maturity and confidence” in the final meal, saying every bite had purpose and that they couldn’t imagine his dishes being any better than they were.

Doug’s first course is soup billi biwith white wine, saffron, fennel puree and uni. Doug’s second course is soba wrapped ocean trout with ginger dashi and groats. Doug’s third course is duck breast with sake-roasted daikon, tamarind, golden pea sprouts and dates. Doug’s dessert is black sesame panna cotta, shattered miso custard and green tea matcha.
Bryan’s first course is groat salad with dungeness crab, asparagus, hen egg custard and chicken skin. Bryan’s second course is black cod with onion dashi, date & parsnip puree and green apple. Bryan’s third course is braised beef cheek and New York strip with seaweed potatoes and maitake mushrooms. Bryan’s dessert is coconut, lavender and vanilla.
Jen’s first course is potato-sunchoke galette with salmon, caviar, pickled apple and creme fraiche. Jen’s second course is paella gnocchi with chicken meatballs, mussels and shrimp. Jen’s third course is Chinese duck with shitake broth, eggplant daikon, grilled bok choy and duck wonton. Jen’s dessert is smoked macadamia with chocolate bavarian napoleon, tapioca and milk caramel.
