It sounds like Bethenny Frankel‘s (above, right) self-titled talk show is struggling a bit. There is a rumor swirling that producer Ellen DeGeneres is distancing herself from the project, while Frankel is mad at DeGeneres for not booking bigger stars for the program.
Now Life & Style has some of Frankel’s former “Real Housewives of New York” co-stars saying that they were asked to appear on the show and said no.
Alex McCord (above, left) says, “A ‘RHONY’ reunion is a valuable product and it should not be on anybody’s talk show. It is not the right venue. For a reunion of that magnitude, it should either be done on Bravo or not at all. It should have [Bravo’s Andy Cohen] involved. It’s just not the right place.”
Though McCord also says that “Bethenny” offered her a low compensation sum for the appearance, so maybe that had something to do with it.
“RHONY” alum Jill Zarin (above, middle) also says she was asked to appear and she “flat out said no,” rankled taht it was the show’s bookers who reached out to Zarin and not Bethenny herself.
“I was hoping she was looking for a resolution and not to use me for ratings. I felt I deserved that since we were such good friends. She should have called me herself,” says Zarin.
