But he’s not just any ex! Oh no, the man once known as Seth Cohen obviously has to be more than that. Instead — according to E!Online — Brody will play Berkeley, a “perfect” ex-boyfriend. This apparently means that Berkeley can talk about his feelings and reconnect as friends with former lovers.
Also, Berkeley is a “hip, stay-at-home dad.” This could be both good and bad news for Nick (Jake Johnson). On the one hand, the ex is probably unavailable if he’s at home with the kids. On the other hand, men are only more attractive with a cute baby in the arms.
Brody is scheduled to appear in episode 14 of the current Season 3. Filming during the week of Dec. 2, that episode should air at some point in winter 2014.
“New Girl” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on FOX.
