After winning Artist of the Year at the inaugural YouTube Music Awards, rapper Eminem ended the show with a live music video performance of “Rap God,” from his upcoming “Marshall Mathers LP 2.”
Though the show was streamed live online, the song was heavily edited to remove as much vulgairty as possible, though some still got through. The appearance came a day after Eminem performed two others songs on “Saturday Night Live.”
Reviews for the YouTube Music Awards found the show to be generally disorganized and in need of rehearsals and a script, but the live music videos were an obvious highlight. The show’s other headliners, Arcade Fire and Lady Gaga, contributed their own, as well.
