As the trial advanced on Wednesday (Nov. 13), Sabourin continued disrupting the court with remarks and interruptions during legal arguments (At one point, she shouted “You’re lying” as Baldwin testified), leading to Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Robert Mandelbaum finding her in contempt, CBS New York reports.
She had been warned by the judge that such a fate awaited her if she didn’t stop interrupting the proceedings, to which Sabourin replied, “I didn’t do anything, adding “My life is shattered in pieces.”
“Like everyone else, you are not permitted to scream out loud in this courtroom,” Mandelbaum responded.
Sabourin’s defense team rested their case on Wednesday. She faces charges aggravated harassment and stalking.
