“Supernatural” is about to get biblical.
The CW’s long-running series just cast Timothy Omundson in a downright religious role. The “Psych” fan-favorite revealed the news on Monday (Nov. 4) via his Twitter, when he shared a photo of the script cover of an episode in which he will guest star along with the cryptic caption, “Good things come to those who wait.”
So who will Omundson play? According to EW, the “Psych” star is going to play Cain, of Cain and Abel lore, a.k.a. the two sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was the first human born and Abel was the first human to die … as Cain committed the first murder by killing his brother.
Of course, “Supernatural” never plays things by the books (Did you watch last week’s “Wizard of Oz” episode?), so there’s no telling what kind of spin this ancient tale will get.
The episode is written by Robbie Thompson, who Omundson says “has written me a hell of a role.”
“Supernatural” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
