In “Delivery Man,” Vince Vaughn‘s character David Wozniak finds himself the father to 533 children. In real life, Vaughn finds himself dealing with just two, but he still finds plenty to relate to with his character.
The new dad with wife Kyla Weber was on “Good Morning America” to promote the film before its Nov. 22 release date, and spoke about how being a father helped him relate to David’s surprising amount of descendants.
“I think as parents, there’s that thing where you sort of excited are for your kids to have good times and be happy when you watch their growing up,” he says. “You kind of have to balance yourself to let them kind of go on their journey and find that balance for yourself of when you get involved and when you don’t.”
Viewers might be surprised to discover how heartfelt “Delivery Man” actually is. Vaughn is letting his soft side show, which he says is just a part of where he is in life.
“As an actor it’s nice to have those circumstances that are authentic,” Vaughn explains. “It’s nice to have a sense of humor in life and laugh about yourself and laugh about the things I think is important as well.”
