Anyone who knows anything about Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon knows that they are very, very, very much in love. But according to the “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer, that doesn’t mean they’re planning to add any more children to their brood.
While on “Watch What Happens Live,” Carey was asked by a caller if she and Cannon were planning to have more children beyond their twins: son Moroccan “Rocky” Scott Cannon and daughter Monroe “Roe Roe” Cannon. She was pretty against the whole idea, surprisingly.
“If Nick could have the babies himself, then yeah, bring ’em on. We love kids,” Carey quips. “Here’s the thing: this is real. I’m responsible for the kids for like forever. I look at it like, they didn’t ask for this lifestyle but here they are.”
According to Carey, the experience of giving birth to twins was enough of an ordeal for her to deal with once. She doesn’t seem desperate to go through it again, especially considering all the health problems she suffered while pregnant the first time.
“To anyone who has ever carried twins, it is a totally different experience. … You don’t even know who you are,” Carey says. “I had a very difficult pregnancy, but I was alone most of the time. We love Nick, but he’s working. He’s the hardest-working man in show business.”
