And just that like that, another season of “The Voice” has crowned its winner. On Tuesday (Dec. 17), after a finale extravaganza that included Celine Dion performing with Tessanne Chin, Will Champlin singing with Aloe Blacc, and Jacquie Lee teaming up with Paramore, one of the Top 3 learned that they were “The Voice.”
So who won? After third place was revealed to go to Will, it came down to Team Christina Aguilera’s Jacquie and Team Adam Levine’s Tessanne. After holding out the suspense as much as possible, host Carson Daly revealed that Jamaican native Tessanne was the winner of Season 5, giving her coach his first win since Season 1.
Immediately, Tessanne went to work, singing her first single “Tumbling Down,” written by One Republic’s Ryan Tedder. Or trying, at least. Singing through tears of joy is hard.
Did the right finalist win Season 5? Or do you think Jacquie or Will were robbed? Sound off in the comments below.
