of the CBS comedy were left hanging last week when Walden (Kutcher)
went in for the kiss with his new boss lady, Nicole (Annable). A preview
image from Thursday’s episode shows the pair cozied up under the covers
(with some questionable contraptions on their heads), but things may
not be exactly as they appear.
“Let’s just say that Walden has to work his magic in order to get in there with Nicole,” Annable tells Zap2it. “Because she’s really dedicated to her work, and that’s sort of number one for her. But she definitely has a crush on him.”
Interestingly enough, the actress — who in real life is married to her former “Brothers and Sisters” co-star, Dave Annable — did a guest stint on “Anger Management”
just before beginning her recurring role on “Men.” So, how does acting
opposite Kutcher compare to working with his legendary predecessor, Charlie Sheen?
apples and oranges,” Annable says with a laugh. “Charlie is great. He
is so candid and you never know what’s going to come out of his mouth,
but it is awesome. I mean, he’s just so entertaining, and was so
welcoming and so super cool to me. I had no idea what to expect going in
to that set. And I had no idea how Charlie would be just because of
everything you’ve heard. But he was really, really so much fun.
is so much more quiet, and he sort of internalizes more than Charlie
does. But he was very cool, and very welcoming as well. … But yeah,
the two leading men — totally different.”
with her arc on “Two And a Half Men,” Annable returns to the role of
Nola Longshadow on the season premiere of Cinemax’s cult favorite, “Banshee.” Showrunner Greg Yaitanes — who worked with Annable on “House” — created a gritty role for her last season that carries well into Season 2.
Annable says Yaitanes and “Banshee” creator Jonathan Tropper helped her “create this really bad a** character.” But she’s not exactly spilling the beans on a possible on-screen affair with Antony Starr‘s character, Lucas Hood.
“I can say that Nola is a very interesting girl,”
Annable says of her assassin alter ego. “And she needs to fill her —
you know, her men, her killing, her sort of ‘vices’ in certain areas.
She definitely fills all of those areas in this season. And you’ll see
it all happen — everything. She sort of just goes for it.”
Annable is focusing her energy on online efforts to help her Aunt
Miriam find a kidney donor. “Nowadays, it’s really unbelievable how much
of an impact social media can have,” says Annable. “And the thing that
really has touched my heart is how many people have responded.”
has struggled with kidney disease since the age of 22, and her previous
transplant failed after a few years. Now on dialysis several times per
day, the Florida woman needs a new kidney in order to survive.
Annable took Aunt Miriam’s story to CNN
in the hopes someone would come forward to donate. “I know I’m not any
different than anybody else,” Annable says. “But this is just me trying
to help one of my favorite people on this planet, and I hope that
something will come of it. And even if not, I wanted to raise awareness
more than anything.”
“Two And a Half Men” airs Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS. “Banshee” returns to Cinemax for Season 2 Friday (Jan. 10).
