Kit Harington‘s new film “Pompeii” might be coming out a week after Valentine’s Day, but it’s still perfect for the romantic holiday. Epic romance? Check. Romeo and Juliet style circumstance? Check. Impending doom? Check.
“Perfect Valentine’s Day: Don’t go for a meal. Go and watch ‘Pompeii’! That’s what I’ll be doing,” he jokes while promoting the movie.
After it was pointed out that “Pompeii” won’t be released until Feb. 21 so that plan wouldn’t really work, Harington revealed his dream scenario.
“I would rent a cabin in the woods or in the desert. I would go away and sit and cook dinner and just be alone for a couple of days,” he says.
So what’s for dinner?
“Casserole. Beef. Nice heart-warming food, know what I mean? Sit around with a candle. That sort of stuff,” he says, adding with a laugh, “Yeah, there’s no woman there. It’s just me, the candle and some casserole watching ‘Pompeii’ on my own in a cabin in the woods.”
In this dream Valentine’s Day scenario where Harington is solo for the holiday, the ultimate question is: Would he buy himself chocolates or flowers?
“Where am I going with this?” he questions with a laugh. “Chocolates, for dessert.”
Happy Valentine’s Day, fellow Jon Snow lovers of the world.
