That’s right — the Season 4 premiere date has been set for Monday, June 23. In just three short months, the entire “Teen Wolf” gang (those that survived, anyway) will be back on TV!
Until then, we will have to content ourselves with spoilers and hints about the upcoming, 12-episode season. Here are a few things to know about those future episodes:
The opening credits will change. “Teen Wolf” has altered its opening slightly several times before, generally to reflect changes in the story or characters. For Season 4, Crystal Reed will be missing, and there’s a good chance that uncredited regulars like Daniel Sharman (Isaac), Arden Cho (Kira) or Chris Argent (JR Bourne) could fill the gap.
Who knows? Maybe “Teen Wolf” will go crazy and add Melissa Ponzo (Melissa McCall), Linden Ashby (Sheriff Stilinski), Peter Hale (Ian Bohen), Jill Wagner (Kate Argent) or Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig) as well. The show has an impressively large cast from which to choose.
Keep in mind that some of the graphics will be changing as well. The reddish hue may be replaced, and the Oni mask is definitely done. Maybe “Teen Wolf” will bring the lacrosse action back?
Four new characters have been announced to appear in Season 4. In addition to a new math teacher at Beacon Hills High School, three new students are arriving on the scene. All are lacrosse players (yay!), and they’ll be played by Mason Dye, Khylin Rhambo and Dylan Sprayberry.
A few of Season 3’s survivors may get more prominent roles in Season 4. Deputy Parrish, for example, made it through a full season on boyish charm and good fortune. There is definitely a story that has been hinted for this guy (who chose to transfer to Beacon Hills!).
Also keep in mind that Danny has admitted to knowing about werewolves (do you think Jackson told him?). He could easily fit in with the pack after that.
Other characters in line for beefed-up roles include Peter and Malia (their story is expected to be big in Season 4), Agent McCall, those Spanish-speaking hunters, and of course Kate Argent.
Enter the Smurf-wolf
Speaking of the blue-faced werewolf … What’s up with Crazy Aunt Kate these days? Thanks to an almost throwaway line in Season 1, it is apparent that Kate got turned after Peter Hale slit her throat with his claws.
We saw her funeral in Season 2, but apparently the nutty Miss Argent didn’t attend. Instead, she has been tormenting werewolf hunters, haunting Derek (no licking yet) and engaging in “Avatar” cosplay. Oh and she might have been shooting wolfsbane bullets at the Twins last week.
Season 4 had just better bring some answers to this one!
