“Peter’s dealing with more adult responsibilities,” Liboiron tells Zap2it in October 2013 while he was filming Season 2, episode 3. “They’re growing up a lot faster, and so he’s dealt with a lot more sort of real-life responsibilities that brings him back.”
Though “Hemlock Grove” is going in a new direction in Season 2 with new showrunner Chic Eglee, Liboiron says there still will be plenty of what fans enjoyed in Season 1.
As for the changes that are taking place in Season 2, Liboiron teases, “There are a lot of really cool new characters that start showing up in Roman and Peter’s lives. What I think will be a little different than last year is that the people surrounding Roman and Peter are going to be equally as strange and weird as they are. There’s a lot of really cool new characters taking part in ‘Hemlock Grove.'”
Liboiron’s storyline in Season 1 kept him largely separate from the drama playing out at the Godfrey Institute, which meant he didn’t have a chance to work opposite his favorite Season 1 standout: Joel De La Fuente as Dr. Pryce.
“I think he’s a really fantastic actor and you see more of him, which is really cool because he’s such a creepy dude on the show. Such a strange kind of Frankenstein doctor guy, and you get to see more of him, so I’m excited to see his character develop more,” Liboiron says. “I hope I get to work with him. I would love to be able to work with him.”
