Novak Djokovic has a reason to celebrate. He won his second Wimbledon title Sunday (July 6), besting Roger Federer. After five sets, the scores were 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 5-7 and 6-4.
It was the 35th time the two tennis pros have met on the court, though Federer is still ahead overall with 18 matches won to Djokovic’s 17.
With his win, Djokovic is now propelled to the top spot on ATP rankings, over Rafael Nadal. He previously held the spot until an October loss to Nadal. This is Djokovic’s seventh major overall title.
