As we count down to the 2014 Emmy Awards, Zap2it
is taking a closer look at each of the lead acting nominees for comedy
and drama — and judging them not by their best work, but by some of the
more dubious credits on their IMDB pages. So we ask you: Based on what
you’re about to see, would you give this person an Emmy?
In 2014, Michelle Dockery is nominated for her third Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on “Downton Abbey.” But before she was entertaining a line of suitors, killing unsuspecting visitors with her ladyparts and wreaking havoc on her sister Edith’s life in early 20th-century England, Dockery was doing all sorts of fun stuff — like appearing in “Hogfather,” a TV-movie version of the 20th novel in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series, as the granddaughter of Death.
It’s weird, but we like it:
It’s also fun to find stars’ old commercials from before when they were famous, but what’s more fun about Dockery is that she made the ad featured below after she became an Emmy nominee. Also in the video: Stephen Fry and Rupert Grint. The U.K. really knows how to make awesome(ly weird) advertisements.
So, would you give Dockery an Emmy for “Hogather”?
