Viola Davis: Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominee, “How To Get Away With Murder” leading lady and total “Game of Thrones” fangirl.

Oh what, did that last fact catch you by surprise? Not only is Davis on board the Westeros bandwagon, but she also admits to TV Guide Magazine that she wants to guest-star on the HBO series. Better yet, she knows exactly the character she would want to play, and it sounds glorious.
“I would want to play a character like Diana Rigg, like a really great no-nonsense, formidable queen,” Davis says in the above video. “But I want to kill somebody — with a spear.”
Davis wants to play a character that’s Lady Olenna-meets-Oberyn Martell? Umm, can we get George R.R. Martin or “Game of Thrones” showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss on this ASAP? Two of the strongest characters on the series melded into one epic lady played by Viola Davis sounds exactly like what this show can use — and sounds like its best female character yet. We imagine she would look something like this:

That being said, “Thrones” already features plenty of powerful, interesting ladies, from the good like Sansa Stark and Daenerys Targaryen, to the bad like Cersei Lannister, to the women who fall somewhere in between, like Margaery Tyrell and Arya Stark. In Season 5 viewers will be introduced to three new additions: The Red Viper’s bastard daughters Nymeria, Tyene and Obara, aka the Sand Snakes.
This trio takes after their father and are big fan-favorites from the “A Song of Ice and Fire” books, so they actually might be very similar to the type of character Davis is describing. But seriously, if Davis really wants to be on “Thrones,” let’s make this happen. She would make an excellent queen — or khaleesi.
