Actor Mark Ruffalo proved that social does indeed have its benefits after losing his phone and wallet in the midst of the monster blizzard that hit the New York City on Jan. 23.

The “Spotlight” star tweeted, “APB out for a cell phone in a wallet case out on the streets of NYC in a blizzard. My drivers license is in there. Reward and signed pic.”

The message got retweeted 901 times and was liked by 1,547 people. Even Ruffalo was surprised by the instantaneous response from his Twitter fans, and the 48-year-old Oscar nominee quickly thanked everyone for their efforts.

And within the hour, Twitter actually saved the day, and Ruffalo was reunited with his wallet and phone.

The “Avengers” actor made good on his promise. He thanked his adorable young saviors by name and shared this photo for all of Twitter to rejoice with them.
