While "Animal Kingdom" is inspired by the 2010 Australian film of the same name, there's something else familiar about the TNT series. Bringing together influences from "Point Break" to "Sons of Anarchy," the edgy series -- at its core -- is about family. One very dysfunctional family.

In Zap2it's exclusive clip of Tuesday's (July 19) episode, titled "Goddamn Animals," it looks like Baz (Scott Speedman) is planning on bringing another kid into the world. We'd probably think twice about such a decision, given the environment these brothers live in.

Then again, it doesn't feel like Smurf (Ellen Barkin) has any interest in being a grandmother to another kid, either. Baz has some financial demands, which is weird coming from the leader of all the robberies the Codys have committed thus far.

Property manager or not, it's hard not to think about the role models -- or lack there of -- a kid would have to look up to in this family. At least Smurf is getting some, though ... right?

"Animal Kingdom" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TNT.
