The "Big Brother 18" house has gotten a little topsy turvy since Paulie won Head of Household on Thursday (July 14). Read on to find out the status of the house and what Tiffany can do to save herself this week -- but be warned of spoilers from the live feeds.

The status

Paulie nominated Tiffany and Natalie for eviction, with Tiffany being the target this week. Tiff won the Road Kill comp and secretly nominated Corey, but he promptly won the Power of Veto and is expected to use it on himself Sunday.

Meanwhile, Tiffany and Frank have formed an alliance because they realize they don't really have anyone else in the house other than Bridgette.

The re-nom plan

Tiffany was talking Saturday night about putting up Da'Vonne as her re-nomination after Corey takes himself off the block. But that feels like a huge misstep to us and here's why.

Corey's side of the house is back to gunning for Tiffany, but that alliance -- Corey, Paulie, Nicole, Zakiyah and Michelle -- does not include Da'Vonne. She's been on the outs with them, and Nicole and Da'Vonne do not trust each other anymore.

What would be a smarter play on Tiffany's part is to nominate Nicole, because it feels like it will be so much easier to get Day to vote out Nicole than to get Nicole to vote out Day.

What Tiffany, Bridgette and Frank should do is put up Nicole and then work on getting Da'Vonne and James into their alliance. Natalie and Bridgette are still kind of tight, so James wouldn't be hard and Da'Vonne might be persuaded that this is her only option at this point.

There are eight votes this week, so Tiffany needs five against Nicole. The people voting are Frank, Bridgette, Michelle, Da'Vonne, Zakiyah, Paul, James, Nicole, Corey -- minus whoever Tiffany nominates.

So if Tiffany takes Nicole out of the mix by nominating her, then Frank, Bridgette, Da'Vonne and James almost have the votes to keep Tiffany. They only need one other person and that person is Paul, who really has no alliance in the house.

Whereas if Tiffany takes Day out of the equation by nominating her, then Frank, Bridgette, James and Paul would need to get someone to flip from the Corey/Paulie/Nicole/Michelle/Zakiyah alliance and that just isn't going to happen. So at best it would be a 4-4 tie and then HOH Paulie as the tiebreaker would send Tiffany home.

Targeting Nicole is a long shot, but it feels like the better chance than going after Da'Vonne.
