Is there anything Piers Morgan doesn’t hate? The former “America’s Got Talent” judge has made a hobby of complaining about anything and everyone, almost as if he’s taken up the mantle of Andy Rooney.
This time it’s actress and model Emily Ratajkowski who has caught his ire, and he just had to let Twitter know all about it. Ratajkowski posed nude on a horse for Harper’s Bazaar and it’s something that Morgan just couldn’t let slide.
“Do you want me to buy you some clothes? You look freezing,” he tweets to her. In almost no time at all, Ratajkowski quickly fired back, “Thanks, but I don’t need clothes as much as you need press.”
It seems his issue is with the fact that the magazine features an interview between Ratajkowski and feminist author Naomi Wolf, in which they covered topics ranging from sexuality to shaming.
“My only issue is Ms Ratajowski’s claim that her stripping’s in the name of feminism,” he elaborates in a tweet. “It’s in the name of money.” He also added, “Emily Ratajowski posing FULLY-CLOTHED would be a bigger news story.”
His words give the distinct impression that he seems to think it’s impossible to both be comfortable enough with your own body to pose nude for a magazine and discuss serious issues within its pages. As Ratajowski says herself in Harper’s Bazaar, “A woman can be seeking attention and also make a statement. They don’t need to be mutually exclusive.”
How she chooses to appear in the magazine should really have no effect on the words she speaks or the discussions she has. That’s simply not the way Morgan sees things, though.
Instead he complains, which continues to make him look like an eternally grouchy man who likes to tout the fact that he has more followers than the woman he’s mocking.
