When “Gilmore Girls” released a teaser scene for the upcoming revival, in one of her patented rants, Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) said that she thinks Amy Schumer would like her — because it’s not like she has “that plant strapped to me that only blooms once every 50 years and smells disgusting … that plant people line up to see even though it smells like dead fish.”

Naturally, Rory (Alexis Bledel) has to Google what plant her mother is talking about and she announces it’s the “corpse flower,” which can go a decade in between blooms.

As luck would have it, one is blooming right now at the New York Botanical Garden and you can watch it via live stream. The NYBG says in the video description that “the corpse flower has started its bloom cycle as of 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28! It’s expected to last 24–36 hours, so Friday, July 29, is a great time to see it.”

Indeed, the bloom of a corpse flower only lasts 24-48 hours, so by late Saturday, it will be done blooming.

But alert Lorelai and Rory and settle in to watch!
