Just a few days after the announcement of a mini Nintendo made waves with gamers worldwide, the suddenly-resurgent company behind “Pokemon Go” has released its first commercial for the ’80s-throwback gaming system. Prepare yourself for an enthusiastic flashback, as well as a common consensus: This NES definitely does not blow.

Much like the classic 1985-introduced system — best remembered for all the time players spent blowing on cartridges in the mistaken belief that it would help the console read them — this NES is home to such classics as “Super Mario Bros. 3,” “The Legend of Zelda” and “Mega Man 2.” Unlike it, however, the “NES Classic Edition” requires no cartridges and plays the games in high definition quality.

Small enough to rest in the palm of your hand, the NES classic has another virtue as well: It’s really, really cute. Featuring 30 classic games, you’ll have to force yourself to stop petting it long enough to stomp some Goombas and dodge some donkey-thrown barrels.

Available Nov. 11 for a suggested retail price of $59.99, the system even comes in a retro-looking box. Now, it seems, it’s time to once again start playing with power.
