Pop-Tart appetizers to hold us over 'till the pizza comes. And one apple.

As we wait out the long (ridiculously, painfully, tragically long) months until the “Gilmore Girls” revival finally hits Netflix, we’ve developed a bad habit of stalking the show’s social media accounts. Luckily for us, that habit may have just given us a spoiler for the new series.

The official Instagram account for the “Gilmore Girls” revival released a promotional photo on Tuesday (Aug. 2) that would seem pretty innocuous to the untrained eye.

For those of you well-versed in the minutiae of Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory’s (Alexis Bledel) world, you’ll notice that the photo caption made specific reference to the apple found in the middle of the Gilmore Pop-Tart platter.

While this could just be a cute nod to a snack setup from Season 1 (during “Concert Interruptus,” which also featured The Bangles), we’re willing to dig a little deeper and wonder if this is actually a hint that the revival might give us a pregnant Lorelai Gilmore.

Lost? No worries, we’ll fill you in.

In the middle of the show’s fifth season, Lorelai and Luke accidentally skip the condom during a drunken night in New York City, leaving Lorelai to wonder if she might be pregnant. They key symptom that leads to her paranoia happens to be an intense craving for… yep, apples.

Heaven forbid a Gilmore girl ever crave healthy food, but Lorelai is convinced it’s a sign since she only ever had this particular craving when she was pregnant with Rory.

We will point out that Lorelai will be somewhere around 48 years old when the revival picks up, which is certainly not too old to have a baby, but it’s definitely past the age most women would consider trying for more kids. Inevitably, that makes us wonder if it’s not Rory who will inherit her mother’s pregnancy cravings in the new episodes?

Could the “Gilmore Girls” Instagram account being trying to hint that there’s a reason Lorelai and Rory will be nibbling on apples? Or is the wait for this revival actually driving us all officially crazy? You decide.
