hollywood-medium-tyler-henry-season-2-premiere

If you missed Season 1 of “Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry,” never fear — Season 2 is here and ready to help you work through your issues.

In the new season premiere, Tyler Henry goes to Melissa Joan Hart’s house and proceeds to give Hart and her mother Paula and sister Emily messages from their deceased grandmother, grandfather and Uncle Mark.

Whether you believe in Henry’s gift or not, it’s a powerful segment, culminating in Emily revealing that she lost a baby — which is not something she had even shared with her mother or sister. Speaking with the 2016 TCA summer press tour, Henry says that it’s really meaningful for him when his subjects are so touched.

“Sometimes [readings] are really emotionally charged …  all I really do in a reading is communicate what I see, hear and feel. So, when it makes sense, I’m oftentimes completely shocked by the degree of how profound that information is because, to me, I’m just seeing symbols and images, but to them, it means everything,” says Henry.

The touching moments do not stop there. Musician Madison Beer receives messages from her grandfather’s deceased partner, Andy, and her friend Jack, who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run at the age of 15.

Finally, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her family receive a message from her stepsister who died of an overdose a year ago.

Now, Beer’s friend’s death was picked up in the media because of her social media posts about it, but Snooki’s stepsister’s OD was not reported by any major outlets that we could find, so it all seems fairly legit — which goes a long way in letting viewers experience some vicarious emotional relief.

As Stephanie Noonan Drachkovitch explains, the production goes to great lengths to make sure Henry goes in to each reading as cold as he can.

“Tyler doesn’t know where he’s going. There’s no names on call sheets, it’s ‘reading No. 62,’ says Drachkovitch. “And we don’t do pre-interviews by design because we never want to create a sense of, ‘Oh, well, you asked me that in a pre-interview. You probably told Tyler.’ So the production side goes to great lengths. He never knows where he’s going.”

So, if you’re looking for a feel-good cry each week, tune in to “Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry.” Season 2’s celebrities include Rosalyn Sanchez, Rachel Hunter, Kevin McHale, Corey Feldman, Austin Mahone, Evelyn Lozada, Moby, Retta and Jennifer Esposito.

It airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on E!
