Pokemon Go is a phenomenon that doesn’t at all show any signs of slowing down. And while young and old everywhere are wandering the streets searching for that elusive GeoDude, it’s worth remembering that the mobile app got its humble beginnings as a Nintendo video game.

And in April of 1997, the “Pokemon” animated series took the U.S. by storm and nothing was the same again.

Since then, there has been multiple movies, different TV series and a variety of card games to feed the need to catch ’em all. But with the wide range of Pocket Monsters out there, even the most die-hard fan can get confused from time to time.
