Alliances come and go so quickly in the "Big Brother 18" house. One from last week has already fallen apart, but it's actually a smart play for the people who are flipping. Read on to find out what's going on in the house, but be warned of spoilers from the live feeds.
Final four finito
Last week, Nicole and Corey aligned themselves with Paul and Victor to oust Natalie. Nicorey acted like either James or Natalie could be the target, but that's just not true because Nicorey wants to work with James -- probably fueled by Nicole's supposed pre-show Final Two deal with James. Neither one of them has confirmed that, but there's been a lot of chatter by people on Twitter about it and it would not surprise us in the slightest if that were true.
So the plan now is for the two of them to start working with James to get Paul and Victor out, which is a shame because Paul and Victor have absolutely played harder than James/Nicole/Corey, but it's Nicorey's smartest move.
The only move
Nicorey should realize that they can't beat Paul or Victor in a final two scenario. If Paul or Victor is against Nicole or Corey, we think the Paul/Victor half of that final two is going to win easily. In fact, either one of them against James would probably also be victorious.
Paul and Victor have played better games and no one on the jury save Paulie should be particularly bitter towards them. Maybe Michelle -- but having had time to cool off, we bet she'll vote for good game play.
So really, Nicole, Corey and James need to be final three together to have a chance to win the game.
The battle for James
What will be interesting is if Paul and Victor can wake up to the fact that their Final Four alliance is a sham and try to poach James for themselves. It wouldn't be that smart of a move on James' part, but it would certainly be worth trying from Paul and Victor's standpoint. Whoever brings James in gains a 3-2 advantage in the house -- and if it's not Paul and Victor, they only have one person who can win HOH this week since Victor is ineligible.
Frankly, we hope James wins HOH this week. He'll have to make his allegiance known, plus it would give Paul/Victor more time to convince him Nicorey should be the target. They may not be successful, but they have to try -- that is, if Paul/Victor even realize what is happening in time.
