In its third hour, the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards came to the annual In Memoriam segment, where it looked back at the artists, both on-screen and behind the scenes, the television world lost in the past year.

There were many familiar faces, but what had Twitter abuzz was the artist performing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" on an acoustic guitar during the montage. That artist's name -- Tori Kelly.

Kelly is a 23-year-old artist who began posting videos on YouTube when she was just 14 years old. She made it to the Top 24 of "American Idol" Season 9, but really gained notoriety with her 2015 album "Unbreakable Smile," which earned her a Best New Artist Grammy nomination.

In July 2016, Kelly released a song called "Blink of an Eye," in honor of her friend Christina Grimmie, who was shot and killed during an appearance in Orlando. The song also honors the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting that occurred the same weekend.
