With the “Gilmore Girls” revival only 10 short weeks away, most fans are running themselves ragged wondering which former flame Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) will end up with.
The timeless debate of Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) vs Logan (Matt Czuchry) — because let’s be honest, Dean (Jared Padalecki) was never even in the running — will finally come to an end when “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” hits Netflix on November 25th.
However, we’ve got a few more pressing questions we want answers to when it comes to Rory’s life and what she’s been up to in the past eight years.
Does she know the Obamas?
Last we saw her, Rory was heading off to cover the campaign trail of Senator Barack Obama. Did she snag a spot in the White House Press Corps when he won the election? Is she BFFs with the Malia & Sasha? Unfortunately, besides a cute video starring Michelle Obama, where Alexis Bledel recommends books to the First Lady as Rory, we don’t expect to see either of the Obama’s in the revival.
What brings her back to Stars Hollow?
Amy Sherman-Palladino revealed at the 2016 Summer TCA Press Tour that Rory would be living in London when “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” premieres, but what bring her back home? Assuming she’s going to be staying the whole year on this side of the pond, it’s got to be something big.
Does she have any more siblings?
Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) might not be married (yet) in the revival, but they’ve obviously been together. Just because they never felt the need to put a ring on it doesn’t mean they won’t have a few rugrats crawling around when we return to Stars Hollow. Or maybe Christopher (David Sutcliffe) has had another kid?
Who has she dated in the interim?
Someone as sweet and loving as Rory has surely dated a few people in the eight years since we last saw her. Who these guys are (and if they’ll be better options than Jess, Logan and Dean) is a question we desperately want answered. Maybe a new boyfriend is actually her happily ever after?
Did she ever make it to Fez?
One of the first (and cutest) moments that bonded Rory and Richard (Edward Herrmann) together was when Rory told her grandfather she dreamed of visiting Fez. We’re guessing she’s done her fair share of traveling if her current career managed to land her in London, so we hope to at least hear about Fez in passing.
Is she still a journalist?
The Internet went wild with speculation that Rory would be a high school teacher in the revival, thanks to a photo which showed her at the front of a classroom. That rumor has since been refuted, but does that mean she went on to become a successful foreign corespondent like she always dreamed?
“Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” premieres Nov. 25 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Netflix.
