Comedian Garrett Morris is a show business veteran. Following his first TV role, an appearance on the soap opera “General Hospital” in 1963, Morris hit it big as a member of the original “Saturday Night Live” cast.
In addition acting, Morris is an accomplished singer. After training at the prestigious Juilliard School of Music, he performed as a soloist for the Harry Belafonte Singers, and appeared in numerous Broadway musicals.
Now, viewers can tune in to see Morris weekly on CBS’s “2 Broke Girls” as Earl, the cashier at the Williamsburg Diner and father figure to Max (Kat Dennings). He’s also the man behind Garrett Morris’ Downtown Blues & Comedy Club. Located in Los Angeles, Cal., the club offers a unique mix of live music performances and stand up comedy.

What are your can’t-miss TV shows?
Crime shows like “CSI” and “The Closer” because they are a team of forensic investigators trained to solve crimes by examining evidence.
What is the last book you read?
“The Reluctant Buddhist.” This book is about Buddhism, and the pursuit of happiness. The author takes us on an intensely personal journey to the practice.
If you could jam with one person dead or alive, who would it be?
Chaka Khan. I love Chaka’s lips on her album covers. Very Sexy! When I saw her body, I said, “Ain’t nobody Chaka, Chaka, Chaka, Chaka Khan let me love you”
Who is your celebrity crush?
Pam Grier. Pam is beautiful and leggy! And a great actress with a nice rack!
Who is your best friend and why?
Kevin Garnier (Co-owner of the Downtown Blues & Comedy Club), because he has proved over the years that no matter what he has my back.
What super power would you like to have?
X-Ray Vision because it will allow me to look under ladies clothes.
Who was your first kiss? Was it any good?
Bernie Lee Mickens was my first kiss. Was it any good? Yes, she was a kissing prodigy. She had an overbite. Bernie could put an apple in her mouth and suck it through a picket fence!
Do you believe in karma?
Yes I believe that If you do something good for someone, something good will happen in return.
What Is your favorite indulgence?
My favorite indulgence is Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Chip Ice Cream…and lots of porn.
What clique did you belong to in high school?
Zero… I had a group of friends but we were not a clique.
