Until this point, Maulik Pancholy, best known for stints on “Weeds,” “30 Rock,” and “Whitney,” has kept quiet about his personal life. But the actor is opening up about his relationship — and his sexuality — in Out magazine’s annual “Out100” feature, highlighting the 100 most influential LGBT celebrities.
Pancholy tells the magazine, “I just celebrated my nine-year anniversary with my partner. It feels like a nice time to be celebrating something like that, especially on the heels of the DOMA and Prop 8 decisions.”
This is the first time the actor, whom you’d most likely as Jack Donaghy’s assistant on the recently wrapped “30 Rock,” has spoken out about his relationship nor confirmed whether he was gay or straight. You can see — or, rather, hear — Pancholy as the title character in the just-renewed animated Nickelodeon series “Sanjay and Craig.”
