In the wake of allegations of sexual abuse made against “X-Men: Days of Future Past” director Bryan Singer, Buzzfeed reports that ABC is re-editing commercials for the network’s new series “Black Box” to remove his name.
Singer is an executive producer on the series, and his name has been used in ads to help promote the April 24 premiere. A spokesperson for ABC tells Zap2it, “We did not officially confirm anything in those stories, and have no comment.”
If true, the move comes a day after Singer was accused in a lawsuit of drugging and sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy in 1999. The director’s lawyer says the claims are “completely without merit” and that Singer “will be vindicated in this absurd and defamatory lawsuit.”
