Monday (April 9) news broke that a Canadian actress named Genevieve Sabourin has been accused of stalking “30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin around New York City. Now the AP is reporting that she has been ordered to stay away from him.
Sabourin was arrested on charges of stalking and aggravated harassment after Baldwin filed a formal complaint. A judge released her on her own recognizance and issued a temporary order of protection for Baldwin.
Matthew Hiltzik, Baldwin’s publicist, says, “As everyone knows, stalking is a serious issue, so we’ve turned this matter over to the New York Police Department.”
Sabourin and Baldwin actually met on the set of “The Adventures of Pluto Nash” over 10 years ago, a movie in which Baldwin had a cameo and Sabourin was working as a publicist. This year, Sabourin showed up at a screening Baldwin was hosting at Lincoln Center on April 5 and she is believed to have turned up at his Long Island home in March.
Baldwin also alleges Sabourin has been sending him disturbing emails for several weeks, professing her love for him and beginning to have his children.
