Music award shows can tend to have an eyesore of a red carpet, but that wasn’t the case at the 2013 American Music Awards on Sunday (Nov. 24). Narrowing the pleasantly large field of good looks down to the best few was no easy task, but a handful of names rose to the top.
Chief among the stunners was Lady Gaga, the new face of Versace. Sure, she rode in on a horse made of people (She still is Lady Gaga, after all), but she wowed in the gown — the same gown from the new Versace campaign preview.
“Glee” star Naya Rivera was the very definition of glam in her black gown. The playful peekabo on her chest might have turned off some, but we’re not mad about it. Alicia Silverstone’s presence at the event may have been bizarre, but there was nothing to complain about when it came to that dress. Christina Aguilera put her slimmed-down bod to work in a white dress that wowed, while “The Fosters” star Maia Mitchell was a vision in a classy black number.
And we’d be remiss if we left out the boys of One Direction. Men don’t always much attention for their fashion, but the Fab Five coordinated their looks well, without coming across as matchy-matchy. Well done, lads.
Who do you think was best dressed at the AMAs?
