The fourth season of FX’s horror anthology series “American Horror Story” officially has a premiere date, the network revealed Wednesday (Aug. 20).
“Freak Show” will launch Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX. This is right on par with the previous three seasons, which all premiered between Oct. 5 and Oct. 17. Details are scare so far, but we do know the series is set amongst a “troupe of curiosities” in Jupiter, Fla. in 1952. The troupe’s arrival coincides with a “dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike.”
The previous three iterations of “American Horror Story” have earned a total of four Golden Globe nominations (with one win for Jessica Lange) and 51 Primetime Emmy nominations, with four wins so far and a possibility for more at Monday’s (Aug. 24) 2014 Emmy Awards.
“American Horror Story: Freak Show” premieres Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
