“American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert is gearing up to release his next single of “For Your Entertainment” in the United States. It’s “If I Had You” and Adam is drumming up excitement by tweeting the single cover Sunday, May 2.
Lambert’s company, 19 Entertainment, confirmed to Zap2it at the end of March that “If I Had You” was indeed the next single of Adam’s debut album, but that it is “still weeks away before it’s released. [‘Whataya You Want From Me’] is
still strong at radio.”
But apparently that time grows closer, since there is now official art for it. Adam also tweets “If I Had You will be hitting radio in the US very
soon… you ready? Shooting the video in the next couple of weeks-
s’gonna be EPIC!” and “Request ‘If I Had You’ at your favorite radio
station now!!! Let’s blow this s*** up!!!” [Censoring added]
Glambert is currently wrapping up his international tour in Helsinki, Finland and then he’ll back in the States. Adam has expressed some interest in coming back to “American Idol” for the finale, so perhaps it will be to promote “If I Had You.” Or maybe he and Siobhan could have a dueling screamers performance. Now that would be awesome.
To tide you over until his next single release, check out the cover art below and also check out the bonus track off the U.K. version of “For Your Entertainment.” It’s called “Can’t Let You Go” and it’s a good one.
