[UPDATE: As anyone watching on the East Coast knows, Seacrest is in fact a machine with a killer work ethic, because he’s on stage doing his job without missing a trick.
According to Zap2it’s on-scene correspondent, who is in the audience, Ryan is “definitely sick.”
There’s a stool set out for him just off stage and during the opening Queen medley, an assistant was icing his neck as judge Jennifer Lopez fanned him with her notebook. — 8:16 p.m. ET]
For the first time in 11 seasons, Ryan Seacrest may not be on the “American Idol” show when it airs Wednesday (April 25) thanks to a wicked stomach bug, reports TMZ. Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe stood in for Seacrest during the show’s rehearsal and may fill in tonight if Seacrest doesn’t feel better.
According to TMZ’s sources, Seacrest is hooked up to an IV and doing his best to pull himself together before showtime.
Zap2it’s on-site correspondent reports that Seacrest is in fact in the building, but she’s not getting any answers yet about whether or not he’ll take the stage.
