Of all the people to share oral sex anecdotes on cable news, Anderson Cooper isn’t one many would place high up on the list. But that’s exactly what the CNN anchor decided to do while discussing the past year in a segment.
When Dan Savage mentions that Rob Ford‘s scandal was his favorite of 2013, he notes. “I love a good cunnilingus joke on the evening news.” That’s when Cooper decides to deliver by telling a personal story about his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt.
“My mom once wrote a romance memoir about the men she had dated — and I use that term loosely,” he explains. “And she described one guy she was currently dating — my mom was 85 at the time — as the Nijinsky of cunnilingus, and she made me proof-read the book. I was like, ‘Mom, I don’t know much about modern dance.'”
Savage quips back, “Or cunnilingus.”
The book in question? 2004’s “It Seemed Important At The Time: A Romance Memoir.”
