Retired “60 Minutes” commentator Andy Rooney is reportedly in stable condition after undergoing surgery last week, reports CBS News. Rooney, however, remains in the hospital after experiencing serious complications during what was described as “minor surgery.”
Rooney delivered his final essay on “60 Minutes” in early October.
“I wish I could do this forever,” said the 92-year-old TV journalism vet.
The type of surgery the newsman underwent was not specified. The Rooney family asks that their privacy be respected.
