Ann Romney is doing her part on the campaign publicity trail for her husband, Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney. Last night, she sat down with Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show.” Today she’s talking to Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on “Access Hollywood Live.”
The hosts asked her about her husband, the campaign and family life and also how she felt about her well-received speech at August’s Republican National Convention. “I wanted to speak from my heart and I wanted people to listen from their hearts,” Romney says. “I felt like I accomplished that, so I was happy.”
She also reveals that the speech was her first time using a teleprompter, but Mitt gave her some tips and the campaign arranged a couple of days of practice so she could get comfortable.
“[Clint] was funny,” Romney says. “You have to know, he’s a unique guy and he did a unique thing. We didn’t know what he was gonna do, but you can’t script Clint Eastwood.”
“He’s a very strong person that is very respected,” Romney adds about Eastwood. “We were just delighted to have his endorsement.”
